1. Complements Montessori & Any Phonics Programme
Movable Alphabets can be used together with Montessori’s Pink, Blue and Green Reading series or any other phonics programme.
Our founder, Carol, has used Movable Alphabets with Montessori’s Reading series, Progressive Phonics and Alphabetic Code Chart (by Debbie Hepplewhite) with her children and during workshops for parents.
2. The Right Size
When printed and cut, each letter from the Large Movable Alphabet is about 2 to 5.5cm by 10cm.
Each letter from the Small Movable Alphabet is about 1.5 to 4.2cm by 5.5cm.
Just the right size to be clearly seen and easily handled by young children.
The cards for letters “i” and “l” are made narrower so that when used in a word, they look more evenly spaced-out.
3. Montessori Colour Code
The letters closely follow the colours of Montessori Pink, Blue and Green Reading series.
This complements the Montessori Language activities that you may do with your child.
Or your child can transit smoothly into a Montessori preschool.
